Conference Committee

 

Every year, Woman of Purpose hosts its yearly conference in Dallas, TX, where the WOP community worldwide comes together to fully experience God like we never have before. Planning for this huge event takes a total team effort! If you have a passion for coordinating special events for God and with God's people, this is the team for you!

 

General Description:

Positions within the conference committee include:

  • Street Team (Must Be in Dallas Area)- Consists of those who raise awareness to locals
  • Vendor Coordinator- Communicates, Reaches out and organizes as a liaison between potential vendors 
  • Speaker Coordinator- Communicates, Reaches out and organizes as a liaison between speakers and guests
  • Venue Coordinator- Communicates directly with venue contact to secure on-location details
  • Fundraising Director- 
    • Identifying and researching prospective donors (including business/corporate, individual, public agency and foundation), developing lists and maintaining list of contact

    • Creation of case for support before contacting potential sponsors

    • Creation of promotional literature and prospect cards

    • Increasing the number of donors/supporters/sponsors and amount of their contributions through the implementation of various techniques (eg. Email, direct mail, media, fundraiser events, etc)
  • On-site Volunteers- Those in attendance the week of the conference to help with set up, organization, hospitality, and general support

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with conference team on creative strategies

  • Contributes ideas and activity concepts to overall brief

  • Reports directly to Executive Team for any questions and/or updates

  • Obtains approval of concepts by submitting proposals for approval
  • Is present for meetings and conference calls

Qualification Requirements:

  • At least 10 hours of weekly availability

  • Positive attitude

  • At least 1 year of administrative or event planning experience (either by education, occupation, or volunteer work)
